The 23rd Southeast Regional Science Fair was held March 20 in the Carnduff Education Complex gym. Over 100 projects were entered by students from Avonlea, Oxbow, and Carnduff.

James Allan "Jim" Hubbs, late of Weyburn, passed away March 15, 2014, at the age of 66 years. Jim was predeceased by his son, Trent Allan Hubbs, his parents Lorne and Mildred Hubbs; brother Wayne Hubbs.

The Weyburn Police Service, Criminal Investigative Unit arrested and charged two women, aged 21 and 28 years old, with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine on Mar. 17.
