The Weyburn and Yellow Grass Housing Authorities have appointed new directors to their boards. Don Shumlich and Myron Fletcher have been reappointed to the Weyburn Housing Authority Board of Directors.

The Saskatchewan Games Council announced the creation of a Saskatchewan Games Legacy Program.

The South East wrestling team came away from the Saskatchewan Winter Games with a bronze medal in the mixed team competition. The wrestling team included nine members of the Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club.

Weyburn City Council has deemed the trial period of the Brown Crescent wind turbine to be over and decided to disallow wind turbines at residential locations within Weyburn city limits at their regular meeting February 24.

The men's hockey team for Team Southeast won silver at the 2014 Saskatchewan Winter Games. The team was undefeated throughout the round robin play, and lost only once, 8-5 against Parkland Valley in the gold medal match to finish with a silver medal.
