Provincial High School wrestling championships set for this weekend

The SHSAA will be staging the 2013 High School Provincial Wrestling Championships on March 8 and 9 in Regina. The tournament will be hosted by the RHSAA at the University of Regina.

Weyburn Concert Series will welcome the Jesse Peters Trio to the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the fifth concert in the 2012-2013 Series.

On March 1 the Qmax Wild travelled to Redvers for their first playoff game. The final score was 7-2 for the Redvers Rockets. The two goals for the Qmax Wild were scored in the third period.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of February 25 to March 3: During the reporting period, police received 94 calls for service. *On March 3, police responded to a report of a fight at a downtown bar.
