Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of February 25 to March 3: During the reporting period, police received 94 calls for service. *On March 3, police responded to a report of a fight at a downtown bar.

Kish named to first team all-stars

Weyburn Southern Range Gold Wing goaltender, Jane Kish, has been named to the 2012/13 Sask. Female Midget AAA Hockey League All Star team. Kish has backstopped her team to an 18-8-0-2 season.

Dene Temple late of Weyburn passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Dene Karen Temple (nee Anseth) was born April 11, 1934 on the Anseth farm. She attended Lien School and was the third youngest of 10 children.

DeLaet ties 9th at event

Graham DeLaet tied for ninth at the Honda Class last week, after having two really good rounds and two difficult rounds at the Palm Beach Course in Florida. DeLaet, a former Weyburn athlete, is now ranked 50th on the FedExCup.
