It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce (nee Gooding) Tremblay on February 8, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Joyce was born in Regina on February 13, 1930.

The adjudicators for the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival have been named, and will be attending the annual music competition as follows. The piano portion of the Weyburn Rotary Music Festival will be held from March 4-9 at the T.C. Douglas Centre.

An expert on dealing with cancer treatments and rehabilitation will be giving a free public information session on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Weyburn Public Library, in the lower level.

Parent volunteer Joe Cayen, of the School Community Council for St. Michael School, hands out extra sausages to those who want them in a Grade 5 class on Feb. 12 to supplement the pancake lunch served to all staff and students for Shrove Tuesday.

The Weyburn Wor-Kin Shop received a boost from the proceeds of the JAMS Family Christmas Day Dinner. The family donated $1,600 to go towards the Wor-Kin Shop's day program building fund.

The World Day of Prayer service will be held on Friday, March 1, at Knox Presbyterian Church, starting at 10:30 a.m.
