Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of October 14 to 20: During the reporting period, the Weyburn Police Service attended to 86 calls for service. *On October 20, patrolling officers observed three males fighting near a downtown bar.

Police warn about computer virus

Over the past few weeks several complaints have been received at the Police Service regarding Ransomware. Ransomware is a computer virus/malware that freezes your computer with a pop up message about child pornography and illegal music downloading.

Saskatchewan has been celebrating the dedicated and caring foster families across this province during Foster Families Week from October 22 to 28.

Harvest complete

Ninety-nine per cent of the crop has been harvested, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report for the period of October 9 to 15. The five-year (2007-2011) provincial average for this time of year is 94 per cent combined.
