To the Editor: Well, I guess we have a decision. The people have voted, or did they? Quote: "I feel this is in the best interests of the City of Weyburn. We are so short of housing" unquote.

We announce with great sorrow the passing of Mark Koszman on January 9, 2012 at the age of 28 years. Mark was born on July 12, 1983 to Trudy and David Koszman in Oxbow.

Employees of Weyburn businesses are encouraged to take an online survey, which will explore how employees interact with one another, and what they expect from those interactions.

On January 29, 2012 Wayne Moerike of Pangman passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 85 years. He was predeceased by his wife Frances; grandson Ivan; sisters Elaine and Donna and brother Laverne.

Lake Alma (cpd) - Sylvia Thompson joined her daughter Doris and James Trobert and family and James's mother Kathy Trobert of Estevan, Greg and Sherry Trobert and family of Regina on Jan. 19 and they flew out of Minot, N.D.

It was very busy week for members of the Weyburn Police Service, as members were called to deal with impaired drivers, violent assaults and a reported robbery, with 76 calls for service were received by police.

Diane Mallory, late of Weyburn passed away January 26, 2012, at the age of 74 years. Diane was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Antoinette Sauve; husband Don Mallory; second husband Murray Wiles and a brother in infancy.
