The Weyburn Beavers are pleased to announce the signing of Dan Grant as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming WMBL season.

The world's first curling museum has re-opened in Weyburn at a new location. The museum, which celebrated its' grand opening on January 12, has been made a part of the newly renovated Tom Zandee Sports Arena.

Annette Louise Newton, born on August 14, 1945, passed away on January 5, 2012 at the age of 66 years. Annette was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Alice Carlson and two brothers, Randy and Gary.

Shelly Van De Sype gets ready to leave her Brimacombe Drive residence, to take her dog Shebi out for a walk on Friday afternoon. Van De Sype underwent liberation therapy for multiple sclerosis (MS) in Mexico in 2010.

After a life well lived, Jean Marion Wyatt, late of Carlyle, and formally of Kisbey, passed away at Carlyle on December 27, 2011 at the age of 84.

Murray Stainbrook, late of Weyburn passed away January 11, 2012, at the age of 86 years. Murray was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Grace; brother, Roy; sister, Delilah Oxelgren.
