Weyburn Review

Donald Buck, late of Weyburn, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2011 at the age of 82 years. Donald was born March 5, 1929 in Regina to Carl and Lily Buck. Don was raised at Carlyle, until he was age 5 when the family moved to Oungre.

Louise Marion Springer Yeik passed away December 28, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Louise was born in Bromley Township in Northcote, Ontario, where she grew up on the family farm.

Blanche 'Alma' Ambrose passed away on December 22, 2011 at the Twilight Home in Bengough at the age of 91 years.

Patricia Gail Johnston passed away suddenly on December 22, 2011 at the age of 52 years. Pat was born December 2, 1959 in Weyburn. She grew up on a farm at Talmage. Pat moved with her family to Weyburn in 1972.

Saskatchewan residents, and those of the southeast region in particular, including the Weyburn region, have an opportunity to "pay it forward" to an extent to help people out in the Philippines who are experiencing the devastation of flooding.

John (Jack) Holzmiller was born in Newark, Ohio on August 7, 1934 and passed away in Weyburn on Thursday, December 22, 2011.

During the week of Jan. 1-7, the Weyburn Police Service responded to a total of 69 calls for service. The calls varied from noise complaints to false alarms, mischief, break and enters and harassing phone calls/text messages.

Marie Louise Nimegeers was born to Maurice and Rosalie (nee Gronenschild) Craeyveldt on September 10, 1920 in Shergrove, Manitoba and passed away peacefully on December 26, 2011.
