Weyburn Review

In the Wings' first game of the week they hosted their highway 39 rivals from Estevan and won a tough battle 6-4 on December 6. Each team scored once in the first period.

Semester 1 final exams will be held from December 19 to 23 at the Weyburn Comprehensive School. Classes resume for the second semester on January 5, 2012.

Maye Wallace, late of Weyburn passed away December 4, 2011, at the age of 93 years. Maye was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Rebecca Wallace; sister, Margaret Tallman; two brothers, William Wallace and Robert Wallace.

Kilgore wins goaltender of the month

Mary Jane Elizabeth Terry passed away suddenly in her home in Okanagan Falls, BC on November 10, 2011 at the age of 65 years. She was born in Regina on July 16, 1946 to John Henry and Gwyneth (nee Baker) Downs.

Colleen Weimer, the choral director at the Weyburn Comprehensive, leads the Grade 10 choir through the actions of "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)", a song previously preformed by the STARS Show Choir at the Communithon.

Pangman (cpd) - The Pangman Economic Development Board and the Pangman Rec Board sponsored the Southern Prairie Railway information meeting held Nov. 30 at the Community Centre. Guest speaker was Cheryl Generous, CEO of South Prairie Railway.

During the week of Dec. 5-11, there were 116 calls for service to the Weyburn Police Service, including three residential break and enters reported. Police were called to investigate three residential break and enters in the city on Dec. 9.
