Roller derby is coming to Weyburn. The Southeast Saskatchewan Roller Derby Association will be holding a meeting on Monday, Aug. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Midale Rink.We hope to see lots of people out in Midale on Aug.

Everyone needs a break in their lives, from the regular routine of work, to rest their minds and bodies, to recharge themselves before going back full-bore into the normal rhythm of life again.

Beavers to play Regina in first round of playoffs

A new four-way stop will be placed at the intersection of 16th Street NE and First Avenue NE to help control traffic in that area. City councillors addressed concerns in regards to the new signage during their monthly meeting on July 19.

Pangman (cpd) Pangman Days will be held August 6 to 8. It will start with a community supper on Friday, Aug. 6 at 6 p.m. in the Gazebo Park to welcome all new residents to the area. Burgers will be supplied, with potluck salads and desserts.

A regular meeting of the Weyburn City Council was held on July 19, here are the major points of interest:*Mayor Debra Button proclaimed that "we will not rest" until Weyburn is "Riderville" at the beginning of the City Council meeting on July 19.

Weyburn's Claudia Lenferna set a new provincial record during the Weyburn Silver Seals' annual swim meet July 17.Lenferna, who is also Weyburn's head coach, set the record in the 18-and-over girls' 50-metre butterfly with a time of 33.31 seconds.

Quota International members from around the world met in Vancouver, British Columbia recently for the group's 86th annual convention.
