The WCS Eagles will defend their provincial championship on Saturday against the team they beat a year ago, the Greenall Griffins, at Leibel Field in Regina.

The final tally was $86,412 when the Communithon went off the air late Friday night, which will go to the 10 community agencies.

This photo gallery shows a few examples of the school groups that came in to entertain, live and in person, at the Weyburn Legion Hall on Friday for the 41st annual Weyburn Communithon. These photos show groups from Legacy Park, Assiniboia Park and St. Michael Schools, with all grades from those schools performing, and many parents and family jamming the Legion Hall to watch them perform.

Inclusion Weyburn held their first Halloween Dance since 2019, and ghosts, goblins and superheroes of all ages were out to have fun and dance at Dominic Place on Wednesday evening. DJ Randy Bakaluk provided the tunes and the lights, and a concession was available to keep the dancers fed and watered through the evening.

The two institutions have common interests in expanding community-based post-secondary education programs and recognize that this is best achieved through collaboration and joint delivery.

“This is going to be our biggest haunt yet and we cannot wait!,” said organizer Ernie Parisien.

Purchase and pickup of passes can be made at the Weyburn Leisure Centre or the Credit Union Spark Centre.

This season, curling leagues at the Weyburn Curling Rink will be split into six-week sessions.
