The concert was the culmination of months of organizing work, with an army of volunteers from throughout the community helping to ensure the event went off smoothly.

Canada Day ended with a fireworks show put on by the City of Weyburn at the fairgrounds, with every spare area for parking taken up by thousands of vehicles parking to watch. Many parked in the fairgrounds area, but there were lines of vehicles parked along Highway 39 as well.
