Mirasty: Relationship of Indigenous people with Crown predates province

Federal Conservative leader Erin O’Toole proposed a plan to help Canada recover after the COVID-19 pandemic, including a plan to eventually balance the budget, in an address he gave electronically to three southeast Chambers of Commerce on Thursday.

Following the weekend announcement, Premier Scott Moe defended the decision to move forward with lifting public health orders, despite the province not yet reaching its reopening plan’s set thresholds.

The Weyburn area has one new COVID case as of June 21, and there are eight active cases in the area, with 33 active cases in the southeast region.

The Honour Roll, Principal’s List and the 3A Awards of Merit were named by the Weyburn Comprehensive School for the graduating class of 2021 at the awards night held virtually on Wednesday.

The Weyburn area has one new COVID case as of June 18, with four active cases for the area now, and 35 active cases for the entire southeast region.

There are only a few spots left available for the Summer Art Program to be offered by the City of Weyburn. The Summer Art Program will be held in the Sun Room at the Weyburn Leisure Centre for ages six to 12 years, from July 12 to August 17.

A virtual graduation ceremony, presentation of certificates and a Grad parade will be the features of Grad 2021 for the Weyburn Comprehensive School, set for Saturday, June 19 for the 164 members of the class.
