Over the past few weeks, SSA Member Organizations across the province have clearly demonstrated their support for Living Sky Sports ’ pursuit to bring a Canadian Premier League Team to Saskatchewan and a soccer stadium to Saskatoon.

There is one new COVID case in the Weyburn area as of June 26, and 61 new cases of COVID-19 to report in province-wide, bringing the provincial total to 48,706 cases.

The City of Weyburn is excited to celebrate Canada Day and host various family events throughout July 1.

Weyburn (the horse) placed a close second in the Pegasus Stakes that was run on June 13 at Monmouth Parkin Oceanport, New Jersey. Ridden by Dylan Davis, Weyburn led most of the race, which covered a mile and a half on the dirt.

Southeast Cornerstone Public School Division staff and board members reflected on being “immersed in the pandemic, not defined by the pandemic” during their monthly meeting on June 16.

For a third consecutive year the South East Cornerstone Public School Division is going to send a deficit budget to the Ministry of Education for approval. The 2021-22 budget includes an operating cash deficit of nearly $4.
