Volunteers are vital to the survival of many charitable organizations. Without people willing to offer their time and expertise free of charge, many nonprofits would find it difficult, if not impossible, to meet their missions.

Submitted by Val Wing Quota International of Weyburn has undergone a name change and will now be called Quota Club of Weyburn. The change was brought about by the dissolution of the International organization based out of Washington, DC.

Residents urged not to forget the sacrifices made

There are 112 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Nov. 11, bringing the provincial total to date to 4,326 cases. None of the new cases are in Saskatchewan residents tested out of province.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce is seeking entries for the 27 th annual Parade of Lights, to be held on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 3. The deadline to register an entry is Monday, Nov. 30, and there is no charge to enter the parade.
