Full recovery to take until 2022

There are two new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 28, bringing the total to 1,611 reported cases. The new cases are in the Far Northwest (1) and Saskatoon (1) zones. Of the 1,611 reported cases, 44 are considered active.

There’s an old joke that there are only two seasons in Saskatchewan; winter and road construction. But law enforcement weren’t joking around when they wrote 224 tickets for violations in work zones in July.

The Government of Canada has announced that school divisions across the province will have access to additional funding as Saskatchewan is set to receive $74.9 million as a result of a new spending commitment by the Government of Canada.

The Ministry of Justice and Attorney General and Saskatchewan’s Court of Queen’s Bench have deployed a new system for scheduling, tracking cases, and processing financial transactions in the Court.

The Giant Tiger retail store at the City Centre Mall has now been closed.

There are three new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Aug. 26. This brings the total to 1,604 reported cases. One more person with COVID-19 has died. This person was in the southwest zone and in the 50-59 age range.
