Reviver Records artist Tenille Arts was headed out for dates in Pennsylvania and Ontario last week, when she was given the exciting news she’s been hoping would come for as long as she can remember.

The Western Canada Summer Games started this week in Swift Current and Weyburn has three athletes represented on Team Saskatchewan. Zach Olson played on the Team Sask men’s basketball team.

A national newsmagazine has ranked the City of Weyburn as the best community on the Prairies, the third year in a row this city in southeast Saskatchewan has achieved this ranking.

The Weyburn Beavers were beat out of the first round of playoffs over the weekend by the Swift Current 57’s, ending their season for 2019. The 57’s had home field advantage for game one on Thursday.

The Weyburn Police Service received a call for service on July 31 reporting a residential break-and-enter in progress, or home invasion, in the southwest area of the city.

The Weyburn Library threw their second Just Dance Party on Monday night. The event was completely free and for all age groups. Just Dance is a dance video game where players follow the moves of the dancers in the game.

Many visitors took a ride on the vintage fire truck, driven by Murray Keefe, at the Heritage Village during the Weyburn Wheat Festival on Friday. There were many demos, activities and displays at the village, along with food and entertainment.
