Weyburn Review

The downtown streets in Weyburn were filled with classic and vintage cars and trucks, along with some tractors and motorcycles, for the Weyburn Car Club's annual Show-and-Shine on Saturday.

A new plaque to honour actress Trenna Keating was unveiled at the Walk of Fame in front of Weyburn's City Hall on Saturday afternoon.

On Thursday night, the Weyburn Beavers started a three-game home series against the Medicine Hat Mavericks and beat them 4-3. Tonight's game went to the bottom of the ninth with Jack Barrie crushing a dinger for a final score of 8-6.

This coming weekend will be an extremely busy one in Weyburn, with activities including the annual show-and-shine car show, the Walk of Fame unveiling, and Trails Day activities.

The top award winners for the 2018-19 school year at Weyburn Comprehensive School gathered with their medals and trophies on June 11 in the Cugnet Centre.

Representatives of the Dance Zone dance studio presented a cheque for $625 to the Special Olympics bowling team, proceeds from the Dance Nation Invitational competition.
