Effective at 4 p.m. on Aug. 15, the City of Weyburn is under a fire ban, due to the dry conditions in the city and area. All open burning is prohibited until further notice from the city’s fire chief, Simon Almond.

Weyburn police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a commercial dwelling unit in the early morning hours on Wednesday. Police located the vehicle on the side of the street a short distance away.
