Weyburn police and Weyburn EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 10 block of Government Road at about 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce announced the finalists for the 2017 ABEX awards, which celebrate Saskatchewan business excellence. The ABEX awards, presented by Conexus Credit Union, will be held on October 21st at TCU Place in Saskatoon.

The extremely popular beach wheelchair program in Saskatchewan’s provincial parks that was launched earlier this year has been expanded.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Terry Fox Run in Weyburn. This year marks the 37th anniversary for the Terry Fox Run in Canada.

Following a meeting of the provincial council, the Saskatchewan Party announced that a new leader would be elected at a leadership convention on January 27, 2018, in Saskatoon. The leader will be elected through a one-member, one-vote voting system.

With harvest beginning in various parts of Saskatchewan, people travelling the province’s highways are reminded to plan ahead, be patient and watch for large farm equipment.

The Government of Saskatchewan has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting health community-based organizations (CBOs) funded by Regional Health Authorities.

Hockey season is right around the corner for the Weyburn Red Wings, as their fall camp is scheduled for the Labour Day long weekend in September. Camp will open with registration in Crescent Point Place lobby on Saturday, September 2 at 9 a.m.

Regens Disposal will be hosting a free barbecue on Friday, Sept. 1 at the new recycling location of 40 - 18th Street, Weyburn. Although curbside recycling is new to Weyburn, Regens Disposal and recycling programs are not.
