RM of MIRY CREEK — Update: At 7 p.m. CST, Environment Canada says tornadoes are no longer expected in the region.
Original post: At 6:38 p.m. CST, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
Doppler radar indicates strong rotation on a thunderstorm near Abbey. This thunderstorm is moving northeast at 20 km/h.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
Tornado warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing tornadoes.
