As shop teacher at CCS (Canora Composite School), Paul Geerdts is a strong believer in preparing students to be successful long after high school graduation.

After enduring a drought that lasted from 2005 to 2018, the Canora Cougars senior girls basketball team has advanced to the HOOPLA provincial finals for the second year in a row.

The Canora Skating Club presented its annual carnival with the “lucky theme of Las Vegas” on March 17 at the Canora Civic Centre. About 150 people of all ages were in attendance, said Candace Doogan, one of the organizers.

The mixed curling foursome representing CCS (Canora Composite School) played in the SHSAA (Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association) provincial mixed curling championship in Nipawin on March 8 and 9.

The Canora IP Cobras came through with a sudden death overtime victory to win the B side of a tournament held in Yorkton on March 2 and 3.
