With Sept. approaching, General Alexander Ross, Royal Canadian Branch #77, will be in full swing, with all activities and programs resuming as usual. We need a good turnout at our Sept. 30 general meeting, as we need 20 volunteers to fill our committees in order to fulfill the many activities and programs that our branch wishes to provide.

Volunteers Needed! The Canadian Red Cross is seeking volunteers for the Friendly Visiting Program for Seniors. Volunteers will be trained to provide weekly visits or phone calls to socially or geographically isolated seniors in Yorkton and surrounding area. One hour every other week is all that is required to provide social interaction with a senior  and peace of mind for family and caregivers. Interested in finding a new outdoor activity? Want to be involved in a low cost, fun sport? Then come out to Patrick Park Disc Golf Course every Tuesday evening from May 5 through until Sept. This will be an evening gathering of players of all skill levels and ages to learn about disc golf, meet other players, trade discs and most of all have fun. Interested participants can show up any time after 7 p.m. and join in for some fun clanging a few chains.
