Extravadance Studio of Canora presented it eighth annual concert to the theme of The Silver Screen. Shows were May 7 and May 8. For a few of the numbers, dancers performed only at one show.

Students at the Canora Junior Elementary School began their part in fundraising for the school’s new playground equipment last week.

Crossroads Credit Union, which donated $10,000, was one of major donors receiving official recognition for the new CT scanner at Yorkton Regional Health Centre on May 6.

The Yorkton Public Library is open at 9 a.m. Monday-Friday. --- The Yorkton and District Horticultural Society will be holding their Spring Pant and Bulb Sale, Fri., May 27, 9:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. at the Parkland Mall, Yorkton.

The PADG has had a very busy spring, actually going back to well before the snow departed. Part of the Association’s role, a key element actually, is to promote disc golf throughout the region.
