The ladies at work invited me to go kayaking. I was very excited. I had never done this before, and the thought of sitting in a kayak and rowing into the horizon appealed to me.

Kamsack district residents have another reason to cheer during the 2018 Olympic Games being played at PyeongChang, South Korea, February 9 to 25: a member of Cote First Nation is on the Canadian women’s hockey team.

Volunteers operating the Kamsack Power House Museum are eager to encourage residents to spend some time in February to seriously reflect on the importance of history, their heritage and the cultures that have assembled to create this community.

The Kamsack branch of the Royal Canadian Legion held its annual installation of officers for 2018 on January 9 during an event that began with a supper and opportunity for members to relax and visit before the ceremony.
