Residents from in and around Pelly wrapped up months of interagency planning on July 1 with a celebration of the 150 th anniversary of Confederation.

In three weeks, gardeners from around the province are expected to be in Kamsack, and bringing with them the highest quality blooms, fruits and vegetables that their gardens will have produced this season.

Two judges from the provincial Communities in Bloom competition were in Kamsack last week, touring the community, inspecting its public areas and looking over private properties with the objective of providing a report to the competition’s organizers

Two 12-foot by14-foot metal gazebos were erected July 4 and 5 on the site of the secure patio being constructed at the Kamsack and District Nursing Home.

After a delay of a couple of weeks due to mechanical difficulties, the Kamsack Swimming Pool was open for the season on July 4.

The Canada Day celebration in Togo included members of the village council and past and present maintenance employees prepared breakfast for residents.
