The junior drama club, which is the largest club in the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, has taken on The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

From several accounts it was an “awesome” time at the Togo rink on January 14 when for the first time in 20 years, the Togo Terriers hockey team played a game on home ice.

Jim Woodward was re-installed as the president of the Kamsack branch of the Royal Canadian Legion during the group’s annual installation of officers ceremony on January 10.

Although the crowd was not large, those who attended the New Year’s Eve benefit at Kamsack enjoyed themselves, according to information from organizers.

One resident each from Togo and Norquay were among the 16 applicants who received a total of $16,545 that was awarded by The Health Foundation and TD Bank Financial Group in their fall education awards for 2016.

The benefit of using one’s hands to make stuff is being impressed upon students of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute where a new “maker space” is being added to the school’s library.

Funds from DuPont Pioneer are allowing the Victoria School in Kamsack to expand the school’s nutrition program.
