A former Kamsack resident is a recipient of a Western Canadian Music Award, which “celebrates the best in Western Canadian talent.

The Kamsack Comprehensive Institute junior Spartan football team ended the season with another win, which gave the team a record of three wins and only one loss. The junior Spartans hosted the Wakaw Warriors on October 19 and defeated them 24-19.

One member of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute cross-country team competed in the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association provincial competition in Delisle on October 15.

District schools are holding various activities this week (October 16 to 22) which is Education Week in Saskatchewan.

Residents’ families were invited to the Norquay Health Centre on September 16 for a barbecue dinner.

At the September 28 meeting of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority, it was announced that the Ministry of Health has officially appointed Don Rae as chairperson and Dave Schappert as vice-chairperson of the Sunrise Regional Health Authority.
