One member of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute cross-country team competed in the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association provincial competition in Delisle on October 15.

District schools are holding various activities this week (October 16 to 22) which is Education Week in Saskatchewan.

A group of residents of Cote and Keeseekoose First Nations left for North Dakota today in support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe who are trying to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The supplies are in for another poppy campaign by the Kamsack branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, and on October 28 many of its members will be taking poppies to the community.

The Kamsack Community Arts Council is presenting Fred Eaglesmith as its first performance of the 2016-2017 Stars for Saskatchewan live music season. The show will be at the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday.

Those plans previously proposed by the Kamsack branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation to make use of Kamsack’s unused off-stream reservoir next to Riverside Golf Course have quite likely been halted for good.
