The City of Yorkton saw a sizeable surplus occur in 2014, “Revenues were $887,920 more than budgeted,” explained Shannon Bell, director of finance at the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday. Departmental operations withdrew $351,572.

A 37-year-old Yorkton man has been convicted of trafficking marijuana. In May 2012, acting on a tip obtained from the Saskatoon Police, Yorkton RCMP conducted a traffic stop near Theodore of a Jeep driven by Clark Protz.
