A 38-year-old Yorkton man accused of sexually assaulting at least two girls under the age of 16 has been denied bail by a Yorkton Provincial Court judge.

The Mac’s convenience store on Smith Street has once again been the scene of an armed robbery. At approximately 2:30 a.m.

The Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club held it’s second annual Sundog Challenge March 6th with many local skiers taking up the challenge to complete either a full marathon or 1/2 marathon.

Gillian Potter, RBC Royal Bank Branch manager for Yorkton presented a cheque for $40,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation today. RBC made the commitment in 2015 and provided an initial cheque for $10,000 at that time.

The Prairie Sun Seed Festival rooted itself in the gymnasium of Yorkdale Central School for the sixth year in a row. This past Saturday the event featured a variety of booths that specialized in seed health, chemical awareness and soil health.

Parkland College officially opened applications on March 1 for more than $100,000 in Entrance Scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded to new Parkland College students in the fall of 2016.
