Because the month of April was declared Daffodil Month by the Canadian Cancer Society, volunteers have been busy delivering and selling bright, yellow daffodils to help raise money to support the fight against cancer, according to the society’s websi

In March the Good Spirit School Division (GSSD) released its Strategic Plan Report which included information about initiatives and programs within the school division, as well as updates and achievements within the division.

The Preeceville branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, is once again teaching students valuable lessons in gun safety. The firearm safety course, which began April 1, was held at the Preeceville School and will conclude April 25.

The Preeceville and District Ministerial Association sponsored the Holy Week noon hour paper bagged lunch services which began from April 10 to April 13. There were a total of four services held at the Preeceville Trinity United Church.

Maureen Johnson and her husband Ralph attended the Read-In protest at the office of Terry Dennis, Canora MLA, on April 7 to demonstrate their opposition to recent cuts in public library funding.

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) is supporting groups and organizations in the province by providing more than $1.2 million in charitable gaming grants.
