On November 9, the Canora Gun Club held the final shoot of the year. About 10 shooters came out for the end-of-season shoot. Taking their turns shooting were Hal Thomas and Curtis Bugera. Bob Pysemny was the range officer.

The Canora fire department received a call of a grain truck on fire next to a chicken barn on the west side of Canora at about 5:45 p.m. on November 6.

For the first game of the season on November 8, the Canora Atom Cobras played host to a strong Preeceville Pats team which showed in the final score of 10-1.

December 31 in Kamsack will not only be a traditional New Year’s Eve celebration, it will also be an opportunity for area residents to help support a 16-year-old Kamsack minor hockey player who suffered a spinal cord injury in April.

The four musicians who comprise The Travelling Mabels quite likely enjoyed performing in Kamsack last week every bit as much as the audience enjoyed their concert.
