As the Kamsack fire chief is to retire at the end of the month, town council has decided to create a new position: that of a paid fire chief who will also be responsible as the EMO co-ordinator and bylaw enforcement officer.

Taking advantage of a beautiful day, the Terry Fox Run was held at the Canora Composite School (CCS) on September 28.

A ribbon was cut last week to mark the grand opening of Parkland College’s new Kamsack Training Centre. Over the summer, the College had moved from its former location at Crowstand Centre to the Kamsack Shopping Plaza on First Street.
