The board and staff of the Preeceville and District Heritage Museum are thanking the residents of Preeceville and area who generously supported the museum during the past season.

The senior boys volleyball combined team, comprised of players from Sturgis Composite High School and Norquay School hosted a tournament in Sturgis on September 30 and October 1.

The Preeceville School and staff members joined together to raise awareness for cancer research and its funding at the school’s annual Terry Fox Run on September 28.

Players and coaches are all dusting off their hockey gear and set to strap on skates for the beginning of another hockey season, and to date more than 80 players have registered to play from the IP age through to midgets.

The Preeceville Panthers junior football team is undefeated this season to date with a win against Kamsack on October 3. "The Preeceville junior football team has had a great season," said Bill Dodge, coach.

The Preeceville Panthers senior football team had a tough game October 6 when Wynyard traveled to Preeceville for a regular game. The cold wet weather did not dampen the players’ spirit but they still faced a tough loss.

A presentation on the turtle species in Saskatchewan will be held at the Preeceville Club 60 on October 23. Kelsey Ecological Society will be featuring Kelsey Marchand and her research on turtles in Saskatchewan.

The Preeceville School will be celebrating the accomplishments of students and staff during Education Week being held October 16 to 22. "The theme for this year's Education Week is “Celebrating Today.

There were 19 Preeceville School students who participated in the Saltcoats cross-country meet held on September 30. "The runners did well and show a great deal of improvement with each meet they participate in," said Bonnie Lisitza, teacher coach.
