Bus company parking request denied

Rilling Bus Ltd appeared before the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday seeking an exception to allow for two buses to be parked in a residential area of the city.

The Yorkton Film Festival appeared before the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday to fulfill their sponsorship package with the City. “I am pleased to inform you that the 69th Yorkton Film Festival was a great success,” said Keith Hayward.

Parking arrangement for new education facility

A new commercial education facility in the City needed Council approval Monday for a plan to meet parking requirements. The facility at 253 Myrtle Avenue required a minimum of five on-site parking spaces.

The Society for the Involvement of good Neighbors Inc. (SIGN) was looking to the City of Yorkton for funds to offset losses in its Senior Mobility Program.
