It’s been a long wait for the YRHS Sr.

The YRHS Jr. Raider football team picked up their third win of the season this past Saturday at Century Field, dropping the visiting Regina Eagles 33-24. The victory improves the Jr.

The Yorkton Atom Gridders ran headlong into a brick wall on Saturday morning, falling to the Regina Bears 34-0 at Yorkton’s Century Field.

The Sacred Heart Sr. Saints football team finished their 2015 exhibition season with a 53-7 home field loss to the visiting Foam Lake Panthers last Thursday afternoon.

The Sacred Heart Lady Saints opened the 2015 SHSAA soccer season with a second place finish at their home tournament this past weekend, picking up a pair of wins and finishing with a record of 2-1.

Michael Chapman is new to the YRHS.

Sacred Heart High School hosted its annual senior boys’ volleyball tournament on September 11-12. The tournament consisted of eight teams: Sacred Heart, Esterhazy, Yorkton Regional, Melville, Roblin, Hepburn, Kincaid and Humboldt.

On Tuesday, September 29, the fast paced and powerful action of Canadian Wrestling’s Elite will be returning to Yorkton with the Girls, Girls, Girls Tour. CWE management has recently released the full card (subject to change) for the Yorkton event.

The YRHS Senior Raiders volleyball team played in their first tournament of the season on Friday and Saturday at Sacred Heart. The boys battled valiantly but came up on the wrong end of six of seven games.
