The cheer squad of the Yorkton Regional High School have been a very busy group. Headed by coach Jennifer Ingham, the cheer squad took part in a competition held at the University of Regina last weekend (pictured below).

The Parkland Outdoor Show and Expo drew thousands to the Gallagher Centre this past weekend. Exhibits for all walks of outdoor pursuits included hunting, fishing, trapping, hiking and camping.

The Yorkton ladies bonspiel was held two weekends ago at the local club with four teams advancing to the finals. Winners of the 'D' side finals, from left Frances Simonson, Julie Norman, Marcey Norman, Myrna Metzler. The team won five games.

The Yorkton Midget Kinsmen AA Terriers hockey season came down to a game last night in Wilcox. The Kinsmen Terriers and Notre Dame Hounds played the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena in a game that saw more people than usual in the seating area inside.

The Yorkdale Central Public School boys basketball team played two games on Saturday. They hosted the 2012 east central districts in the Yorkton Regional High School gymnasium.
