Yorkton's Schrader off to the nationals
A Yorkton youth bowler, 10-year-old Ashley Schrader is headed to Newfoundland in May to compete at the national level. Ashley won the provincial Bantam Girls' Youth Bowling Council (YBC) crown in Saskatoon recently.

Ski club events
the Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club held a Ski Safari on the trails at Deer Park. Lions, tigers, zebras, crocodiles and even some gentler deer, rabbits and moose.

The Yorkton Terriers held their annual awards banquet Friday, wrapping up their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season. Club president Lyle Walsh said in spite of losing out in their first playoff series to Melville, it was still a good year.
