The Terriers have stayed atop the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Sherwood Conference with a pair of wins on the week, but the lead is down to only two points. The split leaves the Terriers with a record of 29-15-2-4 for 64 points.

The National Hockey League gathered over the weekend at Raleigh, North Carolina for the NHL all-star festivities to take place. They were not the only ones to hold an all-star event Saturday afternoon.

The Saskatchewan Volleyball Association's Asics Cup returned to town over the weekendIn what was their closest win of the weekend the Yorkton Blitz Nitro U15 girls volleyball team came out on top of 16 other teams Sunday afternoon.

The Yorkton Regional High School and Sacred Heart High School will be co-hosting the 1st annual York City Classic for senior boys basketball. Games start at both schools Friday at 12 noon.

Four teams squared off last weekend in a battle of Yorkton's ball hockey best, slugging it out to determine this year's winner.

In an effort to help promote one of the sports that does not get much attention within the mainstream media, a clinic held by a two-time Olympian was put on at MC Knoll Elementary School in Yorkton recently.

The Saskatchewan Volleyball Association Asics Cup was played in Yorkton this past weekend. The tournament involved girls' teams from all over the province in U17 and U18.Among the competing teams was the U18 Blitz coached by Chris Lohnes.

At a time of year when each and every victory begins to seem even more important then they did back in September and October, the Yorkton Harvest played their only scheduled date last Thursday, having no scheduled games this past weekend.

The Yorkton Terriers are scheduled for two road games this week, one tonight against the Battlefords and one last night scheduled for Kindersley. Yorkton returns home Saturday (Jan. 29) for a rematch from last weekend's game against Notre Dame.
