The Sacred Heart girls soccer team advanced to the Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association (SHSAA) provincials. The provincials will be this weekend (Oct. 28-29) in Regina.

For the third time this season, the YRHS senior football team scored at least 20 points in a football game. For the first time this season it did not end up being enough to win the game.

The Sacred Heart senior football team was not in the win column on Oct. 13 in Foam Lake, closing out the regular season, but they got themselves back into it over the weekend thanks to a 23-12 win to start the real season.

The Sacred Heart senior team heads out on the road for their quest for a provincial 9-man football title. SHHS began last weekend with a tight win over Melville (see Page B1). This weekend's matchup takes them to Melfort.

The Yorkton Regional High School senior girls volleyball team, headed by Lee Poncelet, were in attendance at the Sacred Heart Invitational senior girls' volleyball tournament over the weekend. Poncelet and co.

The Sacred Heart junior girls volleyball team continued to work towards improving for the upcoming district championships of high school volleyball.

Perry Enns' team has been on the road a lot lately and this past weekend was their first time playing in familiar territory. The Sacred Heart senior girls' volleyball team hosted an eight-team tournament, including Melville and the YRHS.

If the Yorkton Harvest can take any consolation from back-to-back losses they endured over the weekend, it's that they won't have to worry about facing a super-hot goalie again this season, unless it happens to be in a playoff game.

The Bantam UCT Terriers hosted the Regina Oilers at the Kinsmen Arena Saturday. Tanner Mak scored twice in a 4-1 win and had an assist too. He set up Chance Patterson for his team's first goal. Brandon Pelechaty also had an assist on that goal.
