YRHS Raiders get key win over Moose Jaw
The YRHS team got off to a good start over the holiday weekend. Hosting the southern regional volleyball playdowns, teams were broken down into two pools. Pool 'A' included Moose Jaw Central, Estevan, Balgonie and Moose Jaw Peacock.

Terriers knock off Klippers, North Stars
The Yorkton Terriers climbed over the .500 mark with a pair of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League wins on the week. The wins raised the Terriers' record to 11-10-0-1 for 23 points, and fourth place in the League's Sherwood Conference.

Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League action continued over the weekend as the Yorkton Harvest travelled to Mosaic Place to take on the Moose Jaw Generals. The Generals took both games by a combined score of 13-2.

The Sacred Heart Girls soccer team captured a bronze medal in the 2A girls soccer provincials held in Regina on the weekend. In the first game, the Saints were up against Vanier the number one Moose Jaw team.

The YRHS senior boys volleyball went 4-1 through the round robin and appeared to be in cruise control for the playoffs. Then they ran into a Prince Albert team that was clearly intent on going all the way, too.
