Members of the Lintlaw Fire Department expanded their knowledge in firefighting December 1, 2 and 3 when they attended a three-day training session on search, rescue, forcible entry and rapid response.

The Sturgis branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation hosted its annual “horn measuring event” at the Sturgis Arena on December 8. The club members brought in 16 antlers and one bear skull to be scored.

The Preeceville Pats Atom hockey team brought home the B-side banner from the Canora home tournament which was played November 25 and 26. In the first game, Preeceville was defeated by Langenburg with a 16-2 loss.

The Etoimamie Valley Riders Club acknowledged its riders during the annual banquet and awards night at the READ Club in Sturgis on November 25.

The Preeceville Hospital Auxiliary Christmas auction, which was held at the Preeceville Club 60 on November 27,was deemed another success by organizers.

The annual Preeceville Christmas craft sale attracted vendors and early Christmas shoppers to the Preeceville Community Legion Hall on December 2.

The Preeceville bantam Pats hockey team tied the Melville Stars in a home game on November 25 with a 4-4 final score. Scoring for Preeceville were Shae Peterson, Jacob Danyluk, TJ Ebert and Seth Hort.
