The annual Preeceville Children’s Winter Festival will be held at the Preeceville Arena grounds on January 30, which will be run in conjunction with the Mushers’ Rendezvous.

The Kelvington 4-H Beef Club has already had a busy start to the 2015-2016 4-H year. “To kick the year off, we cooked and served hamburgers at Maple Farm Equipment in Preeceville on July 16 for a combine clinic,” said Crystal Elmy.

The St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic women never imagined that when they first took on the challenge of creating little dresses for girls on the other side of the world that it would blossom to astronomical proportions.

The snowmobile season was slow in starting because of a lack of snow, said Becky Scheller, secretary of the Roughrider Snowmobile Club in Preeceville.

The Prairie Women on Snowmobiles are scheduled to begin their six-day journey on January 30. The trek will be kicked off on January 31 when the riders will start their journey in Prince Albert and travel to Birch Hills, Kinistino, Melfort and Naicam.

The Preeceville Curling Club was forced to cancel its annual Christmas bonspiel due to a lack of interest and the timing of the holidays this Christmas season, said Tim Olson, a club spokesman.

The Preeceville and District Mushers’ Rendezvous committee has been preparing for months for the annual Rendezvous scheduled for January 29, 30 and 31. During a recent meeting, a report was given that the memorial tree was a huge success.
