The Atom Raiders are already well into the Regina Minor Football season. But, they are still looking for their first win. They hope the win comes Sunday when they host action at 1 p.m.

The Yorkton Pee Wee Raider season has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start. The team were in Regina Tuesday for action against the Regina Mustangs dropping a 63-22. The first home game for the Raiders in Regina Minor Football will be Sunday, Aug.

The Bantam Junior Raiders held a practice Friday night at the Yorkton Regional High School. The practice was a final tune-up before heading to Regina Saturday, (Sept. 24) to play Balgonie.

It’s an event that has quickly become a summer favourite for many in southeast Saskatchewan. The annual Carlyle Fun Dayz was held Aug. 17 in the community.

Key Yorkton Kia hosted a barbecue Friday in support of youth bowling in the city. The event, visited by a friendly bowling pin mascot, was held over lunch raising both funds for the group, and awareness of youth bowling in the city.

It was a chance to get up close to some really big horses as the Saskatchewan Clydesdale Association held a hotdog sale in Yorkton Friday.
