The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce has selected its new president. Mike Popowich is going to lead the Chamber in 2018. Popowich previously served as vice-president in 2017 and as an events coordinator. Popowich is also the co-owner of TA Foods Inc.

The Saskatchewan Party has chosen its new leader, and the province’s new Premier. After five ballots, Scott Moe took the leadership race with 53.87 per cent of the vote, over Alanna Koch with 46.13 per cent.
