Yorkton This Week

On Saturday, June 3, 2017, Elias Anastasios Giannoulis passed away after a long but courageous battle with depression at the age of 22. Elias was born on December 5, 1994, in Yorkton, SK. He was the youngest of three siblings.

Mrs. Sophie Byblow of Regina, formerly of Yorkton and the Whitesand district, bellowed wife of the late Michael J. Byblow peacefully entered eternal life at home in Regina on June 2, 2017 at the age of 95 after a period of declining health.

Mrs. Herta Pakosh of Saskatoon, formerly of Yorkton and Mikado passed away peacefully on June 4, 2017 in the presence of her daughter and granddaughter.

Wilhelmine (Willie) Achtemichuk beloved wife of the late George Achtemichuk passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Nursing home on June 4, 2017. She was 91 years of age. Wilhelmine was born Oct.

Val Wright, widow of the late Duncan Wright, longtime Yorkton resident, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was 79 years of age. Val was born on May 16, 1938, in Rhein, SK. She grew up in Yorkton where she attended Simpson School and YCI.

David Bruce Cropp (March 06, 1957 - June 01, 2017). David grew up on his family's mixed farm located just north of Gerald, SK. He attended school in Langenburg where his mother, Mary taught for years.

Olga Kitzan passed away May 31, 2017 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina at 92 years of age. Olga was born February 18, 1925 to John and Eustania Kominetsky in the Mamornitz district. Olga was the 4th of 7 children. She attended Vasloutz School.
