Carl Tony Polegi passed away on September 21, 2013 at Yorkton regional Health Centre. He was 89 years of age. Carl was the first child of Emil and Minnie (Bogdasavich) Polegi and was born on the homestead of his pioneer grandparents at Jedburgh SK.

Stanley Ira Weinmaster of Medicine Hat, passed away after a tragic accident on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was 88 years young. He was a loving husband of 60 years to his late wife, Linda.

A split of home games on the week has left the Yorkton Terriers with a 2-2 record two weeks into their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.

Gordon "Sam" Peterson of Theodore, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. Sam was born on May 9, 1922, the youngest son of Chris & Dora Peterson.

Sunday Afternoon, Sept. 29 was Culture Days Open House at the Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre. Saskatchewan Arts Alliance brought its button making machine that was fun for old and young alike. Monique Martin built bird nests with the kids.

The Yorkton Yorkers wrapped up their first season in the Saskatchewan Cricket League with a spectacular 219-run loss September 15 to the defending champion Saskatoon Warriors. The Saskatoon side batted first sending out P. Singh and I. A. Kalyar.

Victor Peter Pozium passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Yorkton & District Nursing Home on September 20, 2013 at the age of 85.
