For the second time in less than a year the Yorkton Public Library has a new head librarian. Helen McCutcheon has taken over the position, and while only in the city a couple of weeks said she is liking both the facility and the city.

The Deer Park Golf Course officially opened up their driving range on Monday, May 6. The course, however, isn't ready yet. They hope to open up at least nine holes by early next week.

Mr. Dan Wiwchar of Gorlitz, beloved husband of Wilma Wiwchar passed away April 28, 2013 at Yorkton Regional Health Centre. He was 86 years of age. Born Daniel John Wiwchar on April 3, 1927 to John & Mary Wiwchar of the Gorlitz district.
